Meet the Foxridge House / We made you a mixtape
It’s September and we are a month away from opening the doors wide for you guys to this project we’ve already teased you with for months now. Before we can show you the whole house (mark your calendars - Parade of Homes Raleigh starts October 4!), we wanted to show you a little peek into the creative process.
Like all of our projects, The Foxridge House took shape long before materials or furnishings were on the boards. In the early stages, our focus was about capturing a sensibility—a feeling more than anything. We gather and edit images and ephemera based on the clients themselves. What we landed on was a blend of prep and patina, an aesthetic rooted in traditional elements that are pulled together in a fresh way that speak to the lifestyle of the family who will call this home.
We drew on references as varied as cypress groves in Italy, the crunch of a pea gravel parking court bordered in perfectly clipped boxwoods, the curves and feel of an iconic vintage sports car, and the sun-worn surface of a tennis court, all orbiting around the color green as a defining thread. From the start, the house carried an easy elegance—rooted, refined, and quietly playful—that set the tone for everything that followed.
Because so much of what we love the most about design is about creating a feeling, we made you guys a little mixtape so you could feel what we feel about this project.
Shuffle this for the vibe and stay tuned for more Foxridge posts in the weeks ahead.
